So this was the end of our 2010 indoor percussion show, “Variations of Canon.” As the title suggests, we took Pachelbel’s Canon and took it through many variations, sometimes adding pop tunes that fit the chord progressions, and each variation had a letter. That moved around with the battery. At the end, all the letters shuffled and shifted simultaneously while turned around. For the big hit at the end, they all turned around and spelled “Canon.”

I recall hearing some funny things on the judges tapes that year:

"That Bass feature was tasty!"
